Our Leadership
Our founder, Dillon Spensley, grew up playing in the dirt in a small town in Eastern Iowa. After graduating high school in 2009, his love for working with the earth led him to pursue an Associate's Degree in Landscape Construction.
Following college, Dillon gained valuable experience by working for several landscape companies across Iowa. Through these roles, he honed his skills and deepened his knowledge of the industry. Guided by a belief in hard work and a commitment to continuous self-improvement, Dillon has always pursued growth in both his craft and his career.
Over the course of a decade, Dillon worked his way up from being a laborer at a small, two-person landscape company to becoming a production manager at a large-scale operation with over 100 employees. This journey instilled in him a passion for leadership and excellence.
In 2022, Dillon took a leap of faith and launched Betterspace Landscapes, turning his vision into reality. He believes entrepreneurship is the ultimate path to self-improvement and hopes Betterspace will inspire others to reach their full potential, just as it has for him.
